JM: Did you have regular access to telephones?
Todd: I had to ask and fill out a request because of my
handicap, (needed use of a tty). It was granted
pretty much as deputies got to know me.
JM: What types of charges applied for calling people?
Todd: I think you needed to buy a calling card for $50?
JM: Did you need to buy phone cards to call out?
Todd: I didn't, but I only asked to use the phone to
set up visits.
JM: Did the jail screen your calls?
Todd: I think they did. They said they did. It was hard
to know what was true.
